The Opportunity: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be an important contributor to the organization’s senior leadership team. As Chief Operating Officer, you will provide overall strategic leadership to the three key operational areas of Branch Operations, Financial Planning and Member Services, ensuring operational initiatives align with the organization’s mission, vision and values. You will provide ongoing inspiration and energy to branch leaders and staff members as they continuously enhance our members’ service experience and will continuously pursue the delivery of highly efficient and effective operations of branches and self-service channels. As well, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the attainment of objectives relating to the on- and off-book investment portfolio and the delivery of service to members through our enhanced wealth management/investment services channel.

The Candidate: Based on a relevant combination of post-secondary education, professional qualifications and experience, you will have demonstrated the ability to accept and succeed in progressively more senior operational oversight roles. Based on an understanding of and commitment to co-operative values and principles, your leadership style will engender confidence through an open and collaborative approach to people and ideas. As a strategist, you will have a solid track record in conceptual thinking that has led to successfully implemented operating decisions and solutions. In addition to the strategic, you have a proven track record of being able to to identify current areas of operational inefficiency and unclear processes and be the conduit motivate our staff to embrace the necessary changes to improve the member service experience.

The Community: Our credit union has eight branches in Southwestern Ontario, with our corporate office located in a well-equipped facility in Kitchener. Corporate office staff members live and work in a region that boasts a solid economy renowned for high-tech research and innovation.
